Your tailor-made
journey through Japan
Individual travel planning by specialists in Japan — in English.
We know Japan
because we live here.
A journey through Japan is more than a list — it is a question of trust. Who advises you, what they know, how they translate it for you.
Japan Privat is a Japan-based travel designer for individual journeys through Japan, guiding you in English. Our team has lived here for more than ten years and plans individual stays for travellers from Europe — from the first conversation to the last evening, all personal, all in English.
Our strength is not size, but depth. We know houses that are not listed online. Routes printed in no guidebook. And while you travel, we are reachable around the clock — in the rain, when plans change, when a sudden idea arrives.

What travellers tell us afterwards.
It was not a journey, it was a bookmark in our lives. We have rarely felt so well cared for — and so discreetly.
We wanted Kyoto. We were given a morning with a monk, an afternoon with a potter and three days we still think about.
What Japan Privat showed us, we would never have found on our own. And certainly not in such stillness.
No plan was fixed; every day felt personal. A rare form of luxury — time.
Four quiet steps —
no catalogue, no clicking.
A first letter
You write us a few lines about what you are looking for. A shape, a mood, a season. We reply within two working days — personally, not automatically.
A conversation
We speak on the phone in English, once, for forty to sixty minutes. Our part is to listen. We want to understand who you travel with, and why you are coming to Japan at all.
Your itinerary
Within two weeks we design your personal itinerary — the sequence of days, the houses, the gardens, the people. We adjust it as often as it takes until it reads right.
The journey
While you are here we are reachable by phone — in the rain, when plans change, when a sudden idea arrives. What lies ahead of you is not a programme. It is Japan.
Tell us
what you are looking for.
We take time for every enquiry, personally. Write us a few lines — we usually reply within two working days.
